By submitting your device or storage media to Data Recover, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions of service.
1. Service Scope
Data Recover provides specialized services including Data Recovery, Hard Disk Recovery, SSD Recovery, and storage media diagnostics. All services are performed based on the condition of the device received.
Physical inspection and final assessment are only possible once the device reaches our lab.
2. Client Responsibility for Data
Clients are solely responsible for maintaining backups of their data before submitting any device. While we follow strict recovery procedures, Data Recover is not liable for any data loss, corruption, or partial recovery outcomes.
For data recovery cases:
- No guarantee is provided on the extent or completeness of data recovery
- Recovery success depends on device condition, damage level, and prior handling
3. Diagnosis & Evaluation Fee
- A non-refundable diagnosis fee may apply before the recovery process begins
- This fee covers inspection, testing, and evaluation of the storage device
- Final recovery cost may vary depending on complexity and damage
A revised quote will be provided if additional issues are discovered.
4. No Recovery – No Service Charge Policy
The “No Recovery – No Charge” policy applies only to the service/labor cost of recovery.

- Full payment is required before the release of recovered data or repaired device
- We accept bank transfer, EFTPOS, and debit/credit card payments
- A surcharge may apply on credit card transactions
- Cash and cheque payments are not accepted
6. Data Confidentiality
Data Recover maintains strict confidentiality of all client data.
- All recovered data is handled securely
- We do not access, share, or disclose data content except for recovery purposes
7. Turnaround Time
Recovery timelines vary based on:
- Type of device (HDD, SSD, external drives, etc.)
- Severity of damage
- Required recovery methods
Priority services may be available depending on feasibility.
8. Warranty & Service Guarantee
- Data recovery services do not include a standard warranty, as outcomes depend on multiple external factors
- If hardware repair is performed as part of recovery, a limited 90-day warranty may apply only to the repaired components
- Warranty does not cover:
- Physical damage
- Liquid damage
- Power surges
- Unauthorized repairs or tampering
9. Device Condition & Limitations
- Devices with severe physical damage, liquid exposure, or prior repair attempts may have reduced recovery success
- Storage devices may not be returned in original condition after recovery attempts
- SSD and advanced storage devices may have limited recovery capabilities due to encryption or controller failure
10. Client Data & Accessories
Clients must remove:
- SIM cards
- Memory cards
- External accessories
Data Recover is not responsible for loss of accessories or removable components.
11. Storage Policy
- Devices must be collected within 30 days of service completion or quote approval
- Uncollected devices may be disposed of or recycled after this period
- Data Recover is not liable for any loss after this duration
12. Shipping & Courier Policy
- Risk during shipping lies with the courier provider
- Any damage or loss in transit must be claimed with the courier company
- Clients are advised to insure their shipments
13. Limitation of Liability
- Data Recover’s liability is limited to the cost of the service provided
- In any case, liability will not exceed a maximum of $1500
- We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
14. Third-Party Disclaimer
Data Recover is an independent service provider and is not affiliated with any device manufacturer.
Repair or recovery services may void manufacturer warranties.
15. Legal & Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by applicable laws of the service jurisdiction.
Any disputes shall be resolved through confidential arbitration or legal proceedings as applicable.

- Confirm ownership or authorization
- Agree to all terms stated above
- Accept risks associated with data recovery processes
17. Special Notes on Storage Devices
Hard Disk Drives (HDD)
- Mechanical failures may require internal component handling in controlled environments
- Recovery success varies depending on platter condition
Solid State Drives (SSD)
- SSD recovery is complex due to encryption and chip-level architecture
- Not all SSD failures are recoverable
